Are you a parent of a child or adolescent with ADHD/ADD?

Join the first programme of its kind, backed by clinical trials and endorsed by international guidelines including NICE (UK).

This psychoeducation programme will be run by Dr Maite Ferrin, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Adult Psychiatrist, Clinical Lecturer and leading expert on ADHD/ADD, with over 20 years of clinical and research experience in the field. The groups will include 10-12 parents/families of children and adolescents with ADHD/ADD. 

When these groups are taking place? Two different groups:
Monday, 9:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m. (UK time)
Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m. (UK time)
Additional days and times will be arranged as required.

Programme Structureexpand collapse

  • 12-13 weekly live sessions , 90 minutes each, structured as follows:
    • 10–15 minutes warming up: informal discussion and follow-up on previous sessions
    • 30–40 minutes: expert explanation of the weekly topic
    • 5–10 minute break
    • 30 minutes: group discussion, questions, and sharing experiences
  • Dr Maite Ferrin will be delivering the sessions in person and will be answering questions and doubts that participants may have around ADHD/ADD, coexisting conditions and their management.
  • Participants are encouraged to ask questions and comment their own experiences throughout and discuss with Dr Maite Ferrin. However, Dr Ferrin will not be resolving particular cases or issues that a particular family may have around their children, as this should be discussed with their own clinician(s).

  4. Co-existing Conditions: Exploring related challenges
  5. Course & Prognosis: ADHD/ADD in adolescence and adulthood
  6. Executive Function: How it affects ADHD/ADD
  7. ADHD/ADD in Girls: Unique features and challenges
  8. Non-pharmacological Treatments: Approaches beyond medication
  9. Pharmacological Treatments: Medication options and considerations
  10. Managing at Home I: Basic parental guidelines
  11. Managing at Home II: Strategies to improve specific behaviours
  12. Managing at School: Classroom management and support strategies
  13. Summary & Closure: Review and final questions

The cost of the complete programme including 12-life-sessions is £1300. Alternatively, you can book separate sessions at the price of £250/session. Note: individual sessions can be booked only if available slots.

Courses

Treatment with Dr Ferrin is based on the latest scientific evidence and clinical guidelines, however unique and tailored in order to ensure the best outcome for each specific patient.
She combines non-pharmacological methods, such as psychoeducation, interpersonal therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and medical treatments too where appropriate.
